Nesoddtangen Brygge - Norway's answer to the Burj Al Arab

Norway has not really been the type of country associated with modern highrise development however, 2006 has shown some new designs which compliment the rugged and natural terrain well. One of the most spectacular projects to come out of this construction and proposal boom is Nesoddtangen Brygge.

This 65 metre tall tower will have 20 floors and will be located in Nesoddtangen on a peninsula. The building will have a hotel, conference centre and apartments.

The ultra modern sleek design was inspired by the Burj Al Arab in Dubai and the Sydney Opera House in Sydney and a straight line cannot be seen anywhere. They shape is similar to that of a sail which is fitting as it is on the entrance to Oslo by the sea. It will become a landmark noticable by tourists.
