It's crunch time for Arena Central

It is now June and news about Arena Central in Birmingham is due in the next 30 days. The tower was proposed in 1998 and gained the approval of John Prescott however little changed after this. The towers height was reduced in 2001 after the terrorist attacks on the Twin Towers.

The developers, Miller Group, announced there will be major news released in June and locals in Birmingham are anticipating it. The news will come as the Orion Building, a major highrise with Birmingham's first multi-million pound penthouse, is completed. Birmingham has witnessed large developments in both highrise and lowrise buildings as part of a regeneration scheme. Last year, construction began on Masshouse which is a small part of a £6 billion regeneration scheme for the Eastside over 10 years.
