Supertall proposed for Shanghai

Plans for a 588 metre tall tower to be located in Shanghai have been revealed. However, the design is not new. The design won an international competition in Dubai in 2004 and it has now been submitted as a serious proposal to the Shanghai council. The 140-storey tower, designed by Frederic Schwartz, would be completed by 2010 if approved be located on plot Z3-2.

Little information has been released however it is known that it could be called ewither the Peoples Tower or the Shanghai World Abundant Culture Tower.
